I really want the Texans to win, but my wanting doesn't seem to help so much. Plan to tape it and if they win, I'll watch later. Not going to suffer through another bad loss.
Whenever the lights shine the brightest is when I lose the most faith in this team. Who knows, I could be proven wrong since were going up against the Bengals (a team that equally underacheives and plays down to our level massively), but I just can't see this ending well given what I've seen unraveling so far. This game could or will be a catalyst for a season reminiscent of 2013 if things continue down this path. Bengals-30 Texans-3
Texans without Duane Brown gave up 10 sacks. Meanwhile, Dalton got sacked 5 times. What's the Bengals excuse?
To be honest I think if you look thruout the league there is a lot of bad offensive line play... we have a problems but so do teams like Indy and Seattle. Also I think over the past decade or so there has been a huge influx of talented pass rushers and a huge emphasis on getting to the QB. Which I think is starting to show its effects thruout the league. Teams know if they want to compete they have to get to the QB and every team puts a lot of resources into that.
I'm going to be an optimist here and say that Deshaun shows up and puts himself on the map... it's his birthday, it's his first career start and I think he will surprise everyone. Texans win 20-10
Bengals o-line is horrible... bottom 5 in the league. If Watt, Clowney, and company can't get pressure, that doesn't bode well at all and puts too much pressure on Watson to score with a makeshift offense. I mean that's pretty obvious but just want to emphasize that fact because we know our offense sucks, but I'll be damned if the defense lays an egg again tonight... short week or not.
If our defense can return to elite form we can beat almost anyone. Here's hoping they do tonight. Hopefully we see a lot of Miller & Foreman runs for success. Been down all week but starting to gain a little optimism. Let's start 1-0 DW4!
A loss tonight and looking ahead at the schedule... @ Patriots Titans Chiefs Browns @Seahawks this could be an ugly 1-6 start to the season.
I feel like it will take a miracle for the Texans to win. I mean everything seems to be working against us in this game. The Texans really have no business winning this game. But, what if they do win? What if Watson and the offense look good? What if the defense shows up and plays well? Suddenly, the Texans will have their confidence back and the fans will have ten days to enjoy a win. I mean it could happen. Right?
If CIN is getting pressure, maybe Brien will mix-in a draw or screen. If his game was as potent as his ego, we'd already be champions.
Bob will never ever change gameplan no matter how the game is going. He might change players but the guys a moron when it comes to mixing it up.
