Our only hope is melo sticks to his guns and only wants to go to Houston. Since in a trade it allows him to opt in with us next year to get paid big again one more year.
question is does Melo want to go to CLE? idk if he does. Also, idk how much that changes the competition in the East. Irving and Melo are comparable in impact to CLE.
All I know is if the Cavs trade a 25 year old All-star for a 33 year old non-allstar.... Why do you even want to be on that team? It's such a bad trade for the Cavs, unless they are getting Porzingis back....and if you ask me that's a backwards move for the Knicks. Harder to find Porzingis type of player than Kyrie's...Kyrie's are rare sure, but it feels like so many teams have good PGs...a big that can shoot 3s, play defense? Forget it, these prospects come like once every 6 years.
Why not just wait a year? While there's no guarantee, LeBron is probably gone. Then Kyrie can have his team, get his super max money, run the show, go back to being the 25-30 win Cavaliers but at least he'll have his own team!
It's probably Irving's motive for putting this out Either trade me now or trade LeBron now, who you'll lose next summer anyways.
if melo really traded to cavs, let's wait for next year when lebro and melo both ditch cavs for houston's banana boat! Fxxk Cavs and Knicks!
