If we end up landing Melo while only giving up Ryno then Morey should win GM of the year, hands down. I don't see it going down that way, but I hope I'm wrong.

the NG guys aren't making up a 14 mil difference between Ego and Melo's salary, and I don't see how a 4th team would help us do that either...we are pushing up against the hard cap

Ryno is too expensive to have playing limited minutes off the bench behind Melo, and Ego is just better than him

I think Ryno will be the only rotation level player that we're giving up, I don't see Morey giving up Ariza or Ego...I would be very surprised and disappointed if he did

i wouldn't if it was either tbh. it would mean CP3 and Harden have signed off on it and it would also mean more would be getting more back in the deal than just melo IMO.

in saying that i would obviously love to keep both

Same... I don't like it at all if ego or ariza is moved those are very big pieces for us our best defender and our nba 6th man of the year... That would be a big problem

u gotta keep as much of your depth as possible while adding Melo...that is what would elevate us to a higher level

u add Melo but lose Gordon then u don't have that good scorer off the bench

u add Melo but lose Ariza then you're only real wing defender is Tucker who u don't want playing 30+ minutes in a starting role every night

    CP3
    Harden/Ego
    Ariza/Tucker
    Melo
    Capela/Nene

that is the goal...I'd also sign Barbosa to a vet min and go after Ersan Ilyasova or Brandon Bass to fill out the rotation

Give me Diaw and Barbosa to add on, after we acquire Melo, and that would be one hell of an offseason

I'll take Chalmers and Humphries as our vet min PG/PF depth pieces.

I'd much prefer Diaw and Barbosa, they also know the system

you guys are staying up because of an unknown twitter person named Trey Rodriguez or Orthiz or whatever?

EVEN if a deal was agreed upon, it won't be announced at this time but in the morning.

I think it happened before midnight in Houston. I remember waking up from a nap, so I definitely don't think it was after 10:00pm.

When was the last time Chalmers even suited up and played a minute in the nba?
