Is it possible to buy out ryno's contract once we trade him? sounds illegal but something morey would find a loophole for.

If Melo does come here, I prefer him at PF where he has had some of his best years

Not sure what that means? If we trade him, then it's not our contract. The Knicks could buy him out, but there are better options than buying out Ryno.

There's practically no doubt he would be the starting PF. His days as a SF are over, and especially with MDA he would be a scoring PF.

@J.R. : Great thread. Thanks for posting this. I firmly believe that Melo or Love will be in Houston when this is done. That's from Ears and just subtle moves around the league, including George Hill and GordyHay.

    To add in our favor:
    1. NeNe has talked to Melo a few times in the last couple of ______.
1B: Morey has tried to bring Melo here numerous times. Melo knows MDA; allegedly no bad blood.
2.CP and Melo are very close and worked together for the Players' Union
    3.DELETED (Sorry...radiation moment :) )
4.Trevor Ariza...enough said. Friends with all the greats.
    5. "Nobody Wants Kevin Love" theory
    6. Melo can control this more than we understand
    7. Scenario exists that sends Love here.
    8. Last Snap from my guy about "#BigTings showed 7 fingers.
*That is not a certainty, but it looked good.

    Okay, that's all I've got.

    I can't type no mo'

    :)

As much as I want Melo, no way I trade Ariza, EG, or Capela. Let things play out and try to find a third team looking to deal that might interest NY. Play the 50/50 game with Cavs while NY gets a GM and we find a third team to deal.

I think we can send them about $3m in the trade, but that's peanuts compared to the $60m he's owed. They would probably rather take a year or 2 to try to dump Anderson as cheaply as possible. They're going nowhere for 2 years anyway.

Uh, wow. The stuff about the "sidepiece" is too far, IMO.

I was thinking the same thing, lol.

    Codman = Ocho Cinco confirmed?

If true, should make for some interesting memoirs, lol.

The greatest advantage Houston has is Lebrons lack of commitment to stay in Cleveland...

If we could get Love out of this it would be an absolute steal.

Ryan ****ing Anderson continues to screw us.

My hate for this scrub has grown close to the hate I had for Juwan Howard.

One of his friends put up a snapchat picture holding 7 fingers up (Melo's #). Guessing Nene, who has a heavy accent hence the "big tings" reference, but maybe someone else.

CP3 isn't committed to Houston for more than 1 year either. For the most part, it's a moot point and not much of an advantage even if we have bird rights to CP3.

You understand that without even including PJ Tucker we technically have the salary to send out for Lebron and Melo.
I'm no cap expert but we should be able to sign and trade next year if it came to that.

    Like I said it's doable.
