How to watch the Astros without Cable

If you're in their local coverage area, you're SOL if you want live feed.

If you have no qualms about pirating, google reddit mlb streams right before the game.

 

mlb.tv and pay for a VPN service like private internet access so you can mask your location to watch locally or you can use the mlb stream subreddit on reddit.com.
They tend to have good quality streams.

Has worked great for me. Although I watch games on my phone.

 

I've watched every game this season through strikeout.me, it's a great site and has HD options, just make sure you have an ad blocker installed.

One of these days I will sit down and actually try and go through the steps to get root sports to stream.

 

Did the root sports stream quit working for anyone else?

How legal is this? Have considered it in the past, but don't want to end up with problems. . . .

 

Not so sure about that big chunk of Texas. Austin, San Antonio, Corpus, Laredo, Waco, Houston, Lubbock, Fort Worth, Texarkana, Dallas, Beaumont, Brownsvillie, El Paso, Amarillo, Nacogdoches and all their surrounding areas are considered home territory for both the Rangers and Astros.

I realize I wrote that statement way too quickly and made it ambiguous--I meant that "network area" includes a big chunk of Texas. (Last year, I spent a few months in Dallas and was irritated that it was part of the Astros home territory)

 

Highly highly unlikely you'd get any trouble for this. My concern was the PIA ip's being blacklisted. I'm a current pia customer and have been for years. Simple, cheap, and one of the best services out there .
