The difference between the Bulls that lost to the Magic in 94-95, and the Bulls that won the championship in 95-96 wasn't that Jordan got better the next year, it was that the Bulls added Dennis Rodman. Jordan started preparing for his return to the NBA months before he actually came back in 95. The idea that Jordan was some shadow of himself is just false. The Bulls without Rodman just weren't good enough to make it to the finals, and the Rockets swept the team in the finals that knocked Jordan and the Bulls out of the playoffs.

 

If you look at Jordan's playoff stats in 95, they are comparable to his best stats through his 6 championships and better than some years he won it all

While Max wouldn't shut Jordan down, he would give him fits. We would do what other teams did to Kobe. Isolate, let him get his, but don't let his teammates get involved. No one on the bulls could stop dream, or even slow him down. Dream would just give that team nightmares. You can't isolate him either, and he is an amazing two way player.
