Bad karma? I would be ecstatic if Watson becomes as good as Schaub in his prime at any point in his career.
Yeah, I'd hate for Watson to lead the league in passing yards with 4700+ yards with a 100 passer rating with 7.5+ adjusted net yards per attempt.
Yeah, we want to win in the playoffs not roll up a bunch of yardage and win Pro Bowl MVPs. Matt Schaub turned Andre Johnson into a possession receiver. That's how good Matt Schaub was.
Andre Johnson always was a possession receiver and all of his best seasons were with Schaub at QB. In fact, without Schaub no one talks about Andre Johnson as one of the best WR's in the league. I get that you are blinded by what Schaub looked like at the end of his career, but he was a VERY good QB in his prime.
This is laughable. Andre Johnson would have way worse career stats if his prime didn't align with Schaub's prime and instead had some average QB play instead. If prime Matt Schaub was on this squad with this defense and skill players, we would go toe to toe with the Patriots. You're seriously letting mentally-broken Schaub at the end of his tenure here ruin your view of him.
Honestly, it's like you never saw Schaub play. He was a system QB pilling up a bunch of yards between the 20's. Go watch him play dude. I don't even know why I'm in this discussion. Holy cow.
