It is so shocking to hear .. . because when he first got here
I felt he was such an ardent EAST COAST GUY

Now. . . . It sounds like he hates to leave for work

    Love JVG

No picks (yet) but they could potentially have a lot of cap room that could alleviate that. People have been complaining that they haven't used their cap money but it could come in handy next year with no early draft picks.

Billy OB has now mentioned multiple times the meeting with Watson where he sat down with the entire offensive coaching staff and retained information with poise. Like 4 times now.

Really makes me think Brock was a dunce.

Seeing the Texans logo appear at the 12th pick after trading up was a surreal feeling. Never thought I'd see the day.

Russell has an average arm. Certainly not a cannon, but better than Watson's for sure.

I was on cloud nine. It was like seeing them go from boys to men. That was a man move.

Wilson has a very strong arm...the knock on him coming out of school was his size...but his arm strength is certainly much better than Watson, as well as the vast majority of starting NFL QBs.

Russell's biggest strength coming out of college was his arm strength and it still is...there is no doubt he's in the elite category as far as arm strength is concerned.

    Watson-HS hasn't won a state title in over 100 years=championship

    Watson-College hasn't won a championship in decades
    =championship

    Watson-NFL team has never won a title=
    ????

Guy is a winner. Hoping it translates. I see the questions about his arm, but he certainly can throw lasers when he needs to.

From what I see on Watson he's an accurate passer. Very rarely do you see qbs improve their accuracy significantly from college to the NFL.

So the kids biggest weakness (IMO) is his decision making ability at times. He made quite a few bad passes at Clemson, which with the right coaching (and a lot of film study) he should be able to clean this up moving forward (we hope). From what I understand he's a intelligent kid which will help him retain the knowledge being passed along to him.

I like that he's mobile and can extend plays. Just needs to get more comfortable in the pocket, which every young college qb entering the NFL has to do. The Texans HAD to address the qb situation as we all know, and I think out of the options available from this draft Watson was the best choice. Now we sit back and see how it plays out.

Go back and look. Wilson was at 55mph. Not elite by any stretch. Savage, weeden, Kaepernick, foles, cousins. All several ticks higher than Wilson. Wilson has a good, solid NFL arm.

Not sure if i agree with this remark.
For example, if it is a simple matter of mechanics (like Watson), this is correctable (also like Watson).
The player may not rise to the super accurate category, but the accuracy can be improved.
After the college season, Watson was working with a renowned QB coach - targeting his mechanics to improve his accuracy and velocity. The report that came out of that 2 month stint was that there was a noticeable difference in all categories for him.
Imagine what a couple seasons can do.

That's what you're judging it on? Sorry, Weeden isn't capable of rolling to his left, then throwing it 45 yards to the opposite side of the field. If you're basing your conclusions on 1 test on a given day, then Im not sure what to tell you. Also, a lot can change from that one day that they threw...and lot's of factors can play into throwing a few mph less at that given moment. Almost every GM and coach will tell you that Russell's arm strength is near the top of the list. Antonio Brown has caught passes from Russell and went out of his way to mention that Wilson has a "cannon".
