IF we play at our best (on both sides) i think we have the chance to win 4-1 or 4-2, but i'm not sure i can trust the Rockets that much.
While this matchup does seem likely, let's not get ahead of ourselves. The Thunder could still pass the Clippers. Ironically that could be up to the Rockets. Here are OKC's and LA's respective remaining schedules: Thunder: at Suns at Nuggets at T'Wolves Nuggets Clippers: at Spurs Rockets Kings OKC is gonna beat Phoenix. Westbrook could even sit that one out and they'd still win. At Denver is a toughie, no doubt. But that's really the only difficult game left for them. They can beat Minnesota on the road and Denver at home(especially if the Nuggets have been eliminated by Portland by then). Meanwhile, I could easily see the Clippers losing at San Antonio if Pop doesn't rest too many guys. And the Rockets(if they're at full strength) won't be an easy matchup. I assume LA will manhandle the Kings despite what happened last time Sactown visited there. So let's say OKC wins out while LA loses to the Spurs and Rockets. The Thunder and Clippers finish with identical 49-33 records. They split the season series 2-2. So the next tiebreaker is conference records. The Thunder would have a better one, so they finish 5th and LA is in 6th.

Rockets win 4-0. Westbrook gets a triple double in all 4 games. Media says OKC should advance to the second round. Kidding aside, if these two teams meet up, it probably will go 7 games. OKC will be a tough out. Really depends on the Rockets 3pt shooting. They shoot like they did last time they played, or shoot to that 38% they were doing in December they will roll. But if they keep shooting like they are right now at 33%, will make it tougher and force them to play better on the boards.
I'm curious how different OKC will be come playoff time though when they're not working to get RW the 3x2. Will Russ be playing harder defense instead of allowing uncontested shots leading to more rebounds? With that said, even if he plays hard D on Bev, it doesn't really shift the needle to much being that Bev isn't a big offensive producer.
I absolutely think we are good enough to win in 4-5!!!!.... However, I also believe we are inconsistent enough that it could be 5-6. Either way, I feel we can come out on top!!!
Some of y'all are sleeping on OKC and the problems they can cause for us. Roberson really bothers Harden. They have active good rebounding bigs. Westbrook is un-guardable. We will win in 6 or 7.
Rockets in 4 WB will get his triple doubles but finally media will see it's empty stats or they will got he easy route and say Harden ha smore help
true but spurs and rockets have absolutely nothing to play for anymore while LAC will, so I think they'll win both.
Since Russ won't be "hunting" for 3x2's, expect him to put up MORE shots. And I think that will be to the detriment of his team.
