Wild story. If he's implicated in assault then they might suspend him for the year. Might be better to go pro. http://www.espn.com/college-footbal...a-sooners-quarterback-baker-mayfield-arrested
He'll be suspended for the first quarter vs UTEP and will throw 4 TDs after. On another note, I know he was wasted but the cop catching Mayfield on a dead sprint is pretty impressive.
Non story? This is a big deal particularly after all of the other legal issues OU players have had in the last few years
Entitled dipsh!t college jock gets liquored up and does liquored up entitled dipsh!t college jock things. Misdemeanors ensue. Apologies containing the phrases "learning experience", "need to be a better leader", "can't put myself in those situations", etc... to follow. Punishment will consist of probation and a meaningless suspension. Same as it ever was. News at 11.
Mayfield must have been seriously trashed for him to get caught by a cop. The guy is a wizard at evading sacks. I have been a huge fan of Mayfield since he was playing at Tech so this is a bummer. I can't say that if I was 22 with fame, superior athleticism and a high BAC that I wouldn't try and run too. Also I want to hear what was said about the alleged assault that initiated this. I won't put him in the same camp as Mixon until more details come out.
