People on this very website said that Klay Thompson was better than James Harden.

    Amazing.

"[Kawhi Leonard] is Michael Jordan for the San Antonio Spurs."
"Kawhi Leonard and Klay Thompson are b-side players compared to James Harden."

Clutchfans critical thinking test ---- do these statements conflict?

    A. Yes, because I'm trying to prove a point
    B. No, they can both stand on their own
    C. Klay Thompson is the best two-way player in the league!!!!111

    B. If VSpan was the TMac of Greece, I don't see that's a problem. You can even go as far to say Lou Williams is Michael Jordan for the Lakers.

Apparently Shaq thinks the same judging by his player rankings

Remember that those rankings were set before the season began. Otherwise, if Shaq still thinks this, then I'm with you. Klay is pretty overrated imo. He's good but to me a borderline allstar that fills his role really well in GS. He has great nights and invisible nights. And he's not the first option ... People should understand that when you're neither the first or second option on a team, you have more leeway to really hone in on defense, and even then he gets killed a lot by superstars imo.

Of course you can make the case for MIchael Jordan and the true greats, who were the first option AND lockdown defenders. But until I see that from these guys, I'm sticking with saying they're overrated, even though I think they're still good players that can have great nights.

Idc if it was before the season or two years ago. Never has it been the case where Klay > Harden unless we're talking specific games. Guessing the big Sasquatch made his judgement based off those games

I'm not putting Kawhi in superstar status yet. I still don't think he's the guy you give the ball to, and he's got the ability to "take over" at the end of games.

He's become an excellent spot-up shooter, I think he's a top 5-7 shooter in the NBA. He's very good at moving without the ball. Defensively, he's extremely good. But to be that superstar I need to be able to give you the ball the last 8 minutes of the game, and say hey man, take the game over.

Last year's playoffs really upset me. Roberson literally locked him down 1 on 1 and he'd have to pass out to Tony Parker with 7 secs on the clock, and Parker tried to play semi hero ball. Even now, watching the Knicks game he can't break his man 1 on 1 consistently to do much. And in the playoffs, the deeper the Spurs go the tougher the defense gets. He makes nobody better, by his sheer presence. He doesn't change you how gameplan, and that to me is when you're a superstar player.

Not true. The quote says KL is MJ "for the San Antonio Spurs." Meaning, a great do-it-all-player for their team.

Well he is the MJ of the spurs (ie best player who carries the spurs).

Remember Pop called Harden the MJ of the rockets because he is the best player who does everything.

I see no fallacy between terrys statements and have no problem with him giving kawhi some love. Kawhi is a great player.
