Lots of analysis saying teams have adjusted to our offense, etc. but if you watched the game last night you didn't see some amazing Memphis defense just closing out on shooters that we couldn't solve. Quite simply the Rockets took the same wide open threes they always got and bricked badly.

The only important thing there is Anderson hits 46% 3s on the road but only 29% while at home. I honestly have no idea why the OP didn't just put this into the other thread.

The home split is clearly disturbing. Have no idea why it is happening (depth perception has been discussed for years) but if it continues through the playoffs it sinks our chances to contend.

Yup. We're past the point of it being a fluke.

Ryan Anderson needs to have a serious talk with Toyota Center Depth Perception Consultants

I feel like he's not going to show up in the playoffs. Why is he such a hesitant shooter? Brewers light is greener than Ryan's. He's useless if he's not shooting the ball.

If the defender is late contesting, you're still open dude. Shoot the fcking ball!

He is having to play Center because Nene and Harrel are short, and he gets tired battling on defense against people bigger then him which take away his legs and by proxy his shot.

For Ryan's sake we need to be 6th seed. Play against #3,#2,#1seeds and beat them on the road

Yeah, Memphis' defense really wasn't that great(their fouling on the other hand...). The Rockets got tons of open looks. They simply missed them. Seriously, they went 10-for-41 from downtown. If they merely go 14-41 which is just over 34%(not exactly an impressive figure), this is a 7 point win. This was very reminiscent of the Spurs loss.

Ryno obviously is NOT SPENDING enough time in the TC practicing his depth perception on 3 point shots. He needs to be in the TC every day he is in town getting up 500 plus 3 pointers in practice until he figures it out. This is not a fluke anymore. This season and his history as shown above, indicates a problem shooting in the TC. IT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED and not glossed over IMHO.

Part of the problem there is the Rockets haven't played at home enough so far this season to get in some good practice time at Toyota Center. If after February, Anderson is still struggling to shoot the ball there, then there's cause for alarm.

He is a one trick pony and the signing was slightly desperate and he should come off the bench. He is no starter on a championship team. But I like him just not starting and at his price.

It's funny how no one complains when we are winning but the second we go on loosing streaks all the bad habits of this team become visible.
It's been an issue all year that Ryno is horrible at home but he's been pretty solid on D, yesterday he was guarding Gasol and Randolph at some point during the game and you can't expect anyone, not even the best defenders, to stop those mammoths. Did ya see what Gasol/Randolph did to the warriors? MEM is a good team because they beat you up on the boards and their shooting is highly underrated.
My biggest issue with HOU and has been all year even when winning has been the walking of the ball. Nothing annoys me more than Harden literally walking the ball up court and turning it over. This year he's been great, for the most part, walking the ball up court and creating but you can't do that against big physical teams like MEM or MIN. Reason being is because their set D is extremely good that your half court becomes stagnant because of al the contested shots and the closing of the lane, but if you run on them they are too big to keep up and you will tire them out. You run against big teams to keep them from setting their D and the positive to all this last night is that players on the HOU rocater acknowledge this, now they just have to execute.
People, HOU is doing pretty dam good for only having one superstar on its team and a first year defensive and offensive scheme. They need another big, which I hope they get through the waiver wire like a Bogut along with another shooter. Dunlevy would've been nice but that didn't work. Someone like a Sefolosha who's a consistent shooter and D player would fit great.

    I'd love to trade him.

    But I don't think that's happening.

Didnt read but hey let us lose more and youd criticize Harden. Ryan Anderson is paid a kings ransom to be an inconsistent soft jump shooter. Translation: shutup tampon boy.
