Real question is would this team be 16-7 if Dwight stayed?

They did make it to the conference finals with McHale, and only lost to the eventual champs Warriors. And that was the season they lost Parsons.

McHale did a lot of good things in Houston. It's unfortunate people don't give him credit for anything. Up until last year, he improved the Rockets' winning percentage every single year he was in Houston. Not bad for the guy who took over at the beginning post-Yao rebuilding period.

The fact that our players move around....some beautiful motion.....not just ISO motion with everyone else just standing still.......he deserves major kudos for.

    It's amazing.

There were three plays in a row Eric Gordon and brewer cut to the basket after perimeter screens that set them up for layups/getting fouled.

Have JBB as the head coach and the same team is 7-16 right now.

Not really. He's always brought the ball up, but I would say that the move to point guard was more of a mindset change than anything. He's initiating far more offense than in past seasons.

How is that possible when he was .500+ last season with a worse roster?

Not sure why multiple posters are exaggerating their thoughts.

Nope. He's done what he said he would do. No other coach on our list could have pulled this off with such a poor roster. It feels like a miracle. I have though no delusion this will take out G.State, but it's put us back in, on, and in the midst of the map.

As much as I disliked the MDA hire, I was dead wrong.
There is no way this team would have a better record with any other coach.
It is truly built around a player like James and a coach like Mike.

I have no idea how well they would be doing with any of those other coaches, but D'Antoni is undeniably doing a great job. I hated the hire but if they continue playing at this level (or getting better and better as they have done so far) then I'm probably going to have to eat a great big **** sandwich and admit I was wrong. And I'm here to tell you that I hope I have to eat a great big **** sandwich.

D'Antoni knows talent because he has seen the best of the best with Team USA. I'm confident that if Harden miss a game, or two, the Rockets can still win with this Coach Of The Year 2016.
