what the hell is this guy doing? Doesn't he realize that signing the tender would have gotten him paid in the offseason?

I'm starting to suspect that DMo is betting against his own health and wants to cash in before people get wise. It's the only rational explanation I can come up with

DMo will not be back with Rockets. DMo is dead to me. Sorry but it is the truth.

The interesting part is the contract. How much are you going to pay a player that can only play 65 games this year and has a injury to work through.

If by that you mean a Lin/asik type contract, no.

Then once again we lose a good significant asset for nothing. You don't build championship teams by letting good players walk, if Ryan Anderson is worth 20m, and Dmo (when Healthy) is a better player - and he is allegedly healthy, you don't let him walk.

Once again this will show whether the Rockets are SERIOUS about winning or just serious about looking pretty on the court and getting fans to come out more than actually trying to win a ring.

And BTW - it means that BJ's strategy paid off - if true, that is......

Well the Rockets gave 20 mil a year to a guy who is averaging only 60 games played per season for his entire career.....and they gave over 13 mil a year to a different player averaging only 52 games played a season for his entire career.

    Who gives a ****.

It is like someone telling me that they saw Tim Breaux at the IHOP on Richmond bussing tables...

Also the idea that DMO is better than Anderson is absurd.

And it's been working out damn well for them. If you can't see that you're not a Rockets fan.

Yes, they should because the more good players they have on the roster, the better able to survive serious injuries, like 2 seasons ago when Dwight Howard missed 41 games and DMo covered for him and they won 56 games and then advanced to the WC final, that was because they were able to sustain when players were injured because they had quality backups, more talent on the roster is a lot better.

At least now all the "Dmo is whining, let the market set the price people" can be happy, as the market may be about to set the price - just like they wanted.

Hey Dada when this is over, let's you and I celebrate our posts on Clutchfans driving up DMo's value and getting him more money. Errrrrrrrr.......maybe we should celebrate causing so many posters to post stupid irrational garbage about how stupid BJ (no, not Batman Jones) and DMo are.

LOL, except that the Detroit Pistons set this "good significant" asset value at 0 last year, a fact that was corroborated by THE ENTIRE REST OF THE NBA when they effectively matched that offer up until now.

This reminds me of when you said the Rockets made a mistake giving up Donte Greene for Ron Artest because he was a "first round asset" . . .

An asset is not what YOU think it is, rather its what others do that makes it such.

    .
And sadly for us, neither you nor jopatmclownaholicdagreat is helming a real NBA team at present.

This is a good point.... However both those players are better players and have had sustained success.... Dmo has nvr been more than a project
