His shot doesn't look broken - low shooting percentage could be a function of not knowing the difference between a bad shot, a good shot, and a better one. Not saying he is primed to pick up that skill though. Sad Brewer is such garbage...

He has a beard, and "hair" in his name. Got to be good!

I had this thought as well. Similar type move.

Though there's little chance Hairston makes this roster from preseason. Hairston has more competition to beat out than Wafer did.

Hairston is almost the worst kind of player. He has NBA traits and shooting form, looks capable enough to give minutes to, but with only poor results.

With Corey Brewer at least there's realization that his shot isnt good and he plays somewhat within limitations and compensates in other ways - instead of playing the role of outside gunner, looking the part but but can't make. But there's always a chance of a Von Wafer / Lance Stephenson type of emergence too.

I saw a few Hornets games and he was the ultimate scrub of scrubs. He would likely make Corey Sewer look like an All star

Why didn't we just keep Marcus Thornton if we were just gonna get this dude?

You make it sound like Hairston has a guaranteed contract and a position on the roster, or Thornton would accept what Hairston is accepting. Thornton got a guaranteed contract from Wiz.

Also, obviously Gordon was signed to upgrade the Thornton role from last year, not PJ.

He's going to be a work in progress but I worry about the off-court issues as much as on-court

And he likes to get technicals and be a hothead on the floor. The guy is a straight up cancer on the team.

He has a beautiful stroke. His percentages had a huge jump from 27 to nearly 40 from three in college. Super interesting player.
