Brewer guaranteed money until 2018. I expect him to suck again this year, then have a break out year the year after. With that little tidbit out of the way, I am hoping Capela makes that 3rd year jump that everyone talks about.
I don't want to overload the starters with minutes, but I do like a tighter rotation. I like the idea of the bench unit getting starters minutes. Allow them time to get a lather out there and get in a flow. I feel MDA might have to go to a 9 man rotation though. There has to be a backup "wing" in the mix. I hope it is either Dekker or KJ.
None of Nene, Capela, DMo or Anderson can play at the wings, so if the plan is to give them all starter minutes that pretty much rules out small ball as a regular part of the rotation. Beverley Harden / Gordon Ariza Anderson / DMo Capela / Nene Then about 10 to 15 minutes for one guard and one wing. The guard will be either Ennis or Pablo, and the wing will be McDaniels, Dekker or Brewer. I think MDA wants as much capable ball handlers as possible, so I don't expect a ton of Beverley / Gordon minutes. When Harden sits (about 12-14 minutes a game), I think MDA will have Pablo or Ennis out there to set up the offense. When Ariza sits, it'll probably be one of McDaniels or Dekker. Seems like Dekker may have the edge.
Seems like we are stacked at the gaurd now. Although u can never have enough depth. Still kinda wish we kepy Michael "15 points in 15 minutes" Beasly. Would have been great in those spot minutes!
Trust me: this small-ball lineup will be a "regular part of the rotation." Bev Harden Gordon Ariza Nene/Capela/DMo
Between Jones, Lawson, and Bickerstaff being gone...I'd be disappointed if it was anything less than a 10 win improvement!
I find it odd people celebrating a tighter rotation. Fanbases are generally beside themselves to give X or Y a "shot"
Lol. If you think we're playing Nene, Capela, DMo, and Rybo all starter minutes then you have been duped by MDA big time. Wake up folks. Ain't happening.
