Why should she NOT try to get money out of this exactly? This isnt' a criminal case so monetary compensation is the best she can get out of this. I haven't been looking for information outside of this thread, but the only information I see from the friend is that she wasn't told it was a rape. That's hardly any proof that it wasn't one or that this is an extortion plot. You'd need to bring a lot more evidence than that to retaliate with.
