Not sure why would you complain, do you prefer dead boards where someone posts once a week? Because that's how majority of other fan forums look like. Welcome to clutchfans indeed, but in a good way!
Giving up a quick scorer for a potential back up PG seems like a dumb move. But it's 2016. Collecting massive amount of PFs is out, and PGs are in. Will they see playing time. Nope.
Ennis has long arms and is a defensive gambler. He will fit our defensive philosophy. He has very good defensive potential. Offensively he has very good vision and he's an excellent passer. Has a very good handle and decent, improving stroke. His Achilles is he doesn't like playing with contract. Doesn't like getting banged around and so far has been unwilling to throw his body around. Additionally he's not a scorer and I don't think ever will be. He's a distributor. And he's very good at distribution and taking care of the basketball while doing it. The combination of Ennis and Prigs in backup playmaker roles is good. Hopefully Prigs works with him. Ennis is basically a young, longer Prigs. Pick and roll distributor who is very intelligent and could become sneaky good defensively.
I'm pretty sure there was NO sarcasm in Glimmers post, and he actually being straight in saying he loves clutchfans for this reason.
In Terms of knowing how a point guard in Dantonis offense look closely how Ish Smith plays the offensive sets etc. This is what to expect of this rockets offensive but ofcourse with better talent. Look for Tyler Ennis to put up simmilar numbers to Ish smith. Expect him to average high amount of assists and very fast pick and roll movement. This video will help alot to tell the role of Ennis
Uh, he's played 79 games in his career and just turned 22 about a month ago. Looks to me like your evaluation should be taken with a deplorable basket-full of salt.
between ennis and tyus jones, who do you think is a better fit for MDA's offense and who would you rather have overall?
We don't have an Ish or Nash type of PG on our roster with that sort of quickness. Still need a PG who can shoot and finish to make this system work. Can't see Bev filling that role We'll see how James works out. Nash was terrific at breaking down D and penetrating with his quickness and ball handling to get the defense out of position Maybe James can be successful with P&R's. We'll have to wait and see
