Lol there are senior directors at the company that I work for that use backpacks.

Guess they didn't graduate highschool or college.

In Houston it doesn't matter what you get, just get whatever you like and is most convenient for yourself.

I myself just use the laptop bag that my work laptop came with but would rather have something else.

Get a purse if it's convenient.

I like backpacks more. Messenger bags get heavy quick.

yeah, i like it; not too formal, straddles the line between too formal, and just another nylon backback...could use a few more organizer pockets, but on the whole i'm pretty happy with it.

I have a Saddleback leather bag and its really nice and extremely well made. It gets better looking as it gets worn. Just be aware that the bag itself is heavy and when you put stuff in them they get heavier.

Or, assuming you're not a teen runaway on a hiking trip, maybe a computer case with extra pockets, Yahoo Serious.

bumping this thread for a few reasons- first, these look pretty sweet, and the price is nice.

    available on AMZ too.

2nd, i'm looking for a nice overnight bag, with a laptop compartment. something one wouldn't mind taking into a meeting, but keeps electronics separate from change of clothes. i've seen some nice duffle bags, but most don't have a laptop sleeve.

I was going to recommend a laptop backpack. I normally bring this for weekend trips to Houston or other trips for a day or two. However I'm not sure how you feel about bringing this in to meetings, as I'm sure you're looking for more of that messenger/briefcase look.

Sometimes I forget my bag and I use these as substitute. Haven't received any grief.

It's versatile enough to carry to the airport.
