Looks like the algorithm relies on the Principle of the Dead Cat Bounce.

Sorry guys we need to let DMO walk so we have money to sign Beasley next year. Beasley is the better all around player.

You can easily sign DMo this year a resign Beasley next summer if you want both players. No need to lose one in order to keep the other.

I think everybody in their right mind would.

Your thinking really is just dumb.

Plus we have Beas's bird rights next year, so why would need to lose D-Mo for him next year. And Sewer and Ariza are most likely on their way out out of town. Just Dumb

FWIW, the Rockets will only have EARLY Bird rights on Beasley in 2017, meaning they can exceed the cap in order to pay him up to (but not exceeding) the average player salary (figure around $7 million per). Otherwise, they'd need to use cap room to re-sign him.

Wow they are saying our second best player is Ariza and our third best is Beverley. Everyone else is a rotation player, DMO is a scrub, and Ryan is an offensive specialist.

    Does not forebode well.

Thanks for mentioning the Cap, Bima what do you think about the Rockets keeping Beasley? Would it be too much tinkering in order to keep both him and Dmo? It seems a legit scorer like Beasley would demand more money than DMO.

Beasley is a bargain this season at the vet minimum. However, his trade value may never be higher.

I wouldn't be surprised if the Rockets look to extract as much value for him in trade while they have the chance. But they won't just GIVE him away. I could just as easily see them holding on to him and hoping he'll re-sign with Early Bird rights (he'll have a tiny cap hold in 2017, allowing the Rockets to use cap room first and then re-sign him).

So in other words, I don't know. ;)
