My son-in-law is a police officer in San Antonio. In addition to praying for those unjustly killed by police officers, please let's put politics aside and pray-or send positive thoughts- to our law enforcement officers and their families nationwide, the large majority of whom are decent, hardworking people of integrity. I do solemnly believe that from knowing how the few police officers I know talk about their LEO brethren.

They were going off some witness accounts and only listed him as a person of intrest.that could mean something as simple as he might have witnessed something .. Don't think this will ruing his life

If anything the NRA should view that guy as a hero. He was a american citizen exercising his right to openly carry. NRA should be outraged that a law abiding citizen was made into a POI just because he was legally carrying.
Going forward, probably not. But in a highly charged atmosphere, it could have easily cost him his life. I'm in the camp that it was irresponsible for DPD to broadcast him like that. People won't differentiate between "person of interest", "suspect" or whatever
