We have a glut of big men and wings. Wings: Ariza, Brewer, Dekker, KJ Bigs: Capela, Anderson, Nene, D-Mo (if re-signed like D'Antoni wants), Beasley, Harrell, Onuaku It appears like there might be a trade soon. Who do you all think the Rockets will target? It seems like the obvious choice would be a PG. I don't feel like that'll happen though and I think instead 2-3 of those players (excluding the ones we just signed) will be packaged together for an upgrade at the SF position. I'm not sure who though.
ariza+brewer for tristan thompson. cavs get someone to stop durant in ariza and Daryl gets to say, we made a trade for an elite player.
i do think we need a trade to upgrade...but i dont think there's a glut that forces us to make a trade. Dekker likely needs to go to RGV, as well as Harrell and Onuaku.
At this point i think Knight and Rubio are the most credible and obtainable targets for us. Just remember that Paul and Lowry are free agent next summer though.
That's why I'm just not sure if bringing in an expensive PG is our best option this summer. I'd rather sign Grevius Vasquez to the minimum.
Brewer, Beasley, Dekker, Harrell, KJ, picks should be in consideration... And Ariza of course. I honestly think at least half of these guys should be dealt somewhere where they can grow. I don't think these players fit the MDA style. Maybe Ariza and Harrell but that's about it.
Rubio makes the most sense to me... Fits right in with the theme of the offseason, morey getting guys he wanted 5 years ago.
