I respectfully disagree about him having trouble and it taking too long (AND the idea we give him too much credit). Think about the length and quality of the work he does. The man puts serious amounts of details into his work and his books are the size of six books. So don't be surprised when it takes that long, especially when your older and enjoying the kind of success he has earned. Is it frustrating that there isn't a release date? Yes. Is it is. But he's, absolutely one of the bests and he has to work at a pace he can manage. It's never going to be the same for writers. But I do know he has a plan. He gave the general outline to the producers of the show, who are going off that. I don't think it's as easy though as knowing the ending of each character when you are like George, because you have to change things as you write that you didn't anticipate. For example in the original outline, Jon marries Arya and a slew of other things don't end up happening. Writing is a constant process of editing and reviewing your work, so for that, it takes time.
True. The show is floundering just like the books. Book 5 was mostly just a filler book and now these writers themselves seem to have no idea what to do and we've had three filler episodes.
You folks realize this a TV show. I suppose once a show reaches a certain popularity, a third of the audience simply nitpicks everything.
Everything is being set up for the war for the dawn. The show's conclusions involving man is being tied up tonight and a zombie horde is about to start marching south across Westoros.
Just heard tonight's episode cost $20m to make and took 25 days to film Methinks Wun Wun and Ghost will fight valiantly and kill many, representing House Pixomondo with great honor!
That was the most suspenseful, heart pounding episode in TV history. I thought Jon SNow was going to die 20 different times in the episode.
I know. I think I came two or three times in that hour. Haven't managed that since high school. Let's not forget major ass-kicking dragon action. Geez, it was like watching a movie.
BTW, Jon Snow is officially the most bad ass character in Westeros. Mother ****er was a ****ing BEAST!
Was there a scene in that episode that wasn't edge of your seat holy crap intense? Best episode of the series easily. Holy moly.
[Premium Post] Sansa coming from behind [snicker] to take a very prominent role in the Game of Thrones.
Miguel Sapochnik - that's the director of this episode. He did Hardhome also. Dude needs to do EVERY major battle sequence in Game of Thrones from here out. The battle cinematography is one of the best I've ever scene in TV and movies.
