This fool has no business being in basketball! Defensive specialist? Get out of here!! Just because your dad is a coach does not mean you belong as well! -Rotations? nope -Discipline? nope -Defense? nope

He simply was not ready for the Big Chair Morey did him a grave disservice JBB Will probably never coach in the NBA again If you not ready . . .you not ready It's like throwing a kid who cannot swim in the deep end and he nearly drowns cause he cannot swim then telling him he will never be allowed to swim again Unfortunate but reality Rocket River
buncha ****in noobs. he never had the right players.first year with tmac/yao had no one else. 2nd year they got injured and barely had any support. 3rd year yao got injured adn tmac had a nagging injury and again, barely any suppport. he still did a good job http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2008/02/28/sports/playmagazine/20080229_GUNDY_GRAPHIC.html?_r=0
RR, I respect you, just want to argue the counterpoint. If after 11 years as an assistant he is not ready, when will he ever be ready? I've heard this argument used a lot, but I guess the point you are trying to make is that he wasn't ready for THIS situation? (Like maybe he needed to be on a developing team and not a contender) I don't know, I personally felt that this is a situation others could have made work better at least. Really, the moment I began to sour on him was when I saw his dancing episode during the b-day party, just couldn't take him seriously after seeing that. Anyways, don't mind me, just wanted to hear some clarity of this point of view considering it came from you.
He was godawful. But there have been worse coaches even recently. At least he didn't hit on his teammates girlfriends. At least no player told him to fck off in the middle of a game and he could keep some peace in the lockeroom. At least he didn't get into a fight with Harden and demanded he got traded. At least he didn't change shootaround time so players could go party and get drunk the previous night. So that's that.
He SHOULD have been ready. I thought he had the training I thought he had the history but obvously he was not ready He might never be ready At this point . .. i think he has to probably go backwards Maybe head coach in college or something cause he is not learning on the NBA bench Rocket River
OP, why exactly are you wishing for JB to never coach EVER again? What difference does it make to you if he ends up being a HC for another team?
Jesus Christ guys, calm down. Yeah he wasn't a good coach but dude was set up to fail from the beginning. WTF was he supposed to do with this train wreck of a team?? Dude went from being an assistant to thrust into a situation where his head coach got fired by mutiny. Sure, his rotations and decisions were suspect, but geez give the guy some time to learn and develop into a decent coach at least. I am sure every single one of you guys were just PERFECT at everything you did the first time. **** out of here, nothing but inconsiderate jerks. You people make me ****ing sick
