The problems on this team go much deeper than coaching. But, those rotations. It's like he was pulling numbers out of a hat or something.
Seriously one of the weakest defenses of JBB I've seen. JBB has been an assistant coach for 11 years prior to this opportunity. He inherited a WCF team from a year ago 7 games into a poor start to the season. Most interim coaches inherit a bad team, in the middle of the season, with no chance to do anything, and are let go at season's end. JBB got basically a full season minus a training camp, and still plays Corey Brewer 30 min a game after a season of sucking. JBB leaves Andrew Goudelock stuck to the bench after showing serious signs of being useful. JBB plays Terry 30 min a game, when its clear he is done. JBB randomly throws lineups, can't draw up inbounds plays, and has no plan. Maybe he gets another chance from another sucker team out there, but that chance is probably about .0000001%. Unfortunate, but there are far more people who have never really gotten a real chance out there who haven't screwed it up this badly.
He took over the team at 4-7 way early in the season. He had plenty of time to turn this team around but he never could. Like people said, he's been here for years so he knows the team and players very well. Really they might as well should have just stayed with Mchale for the rest of the season.
Let me put it another way. He got paid 1/20th the amount of money for an impossible job. This team was broken before he took over and no he didn't fix it, but that should be a surprise to no one.
We were doomed by having a head coach for 5 seasons that couldnt draw up a play and just clapped and asked plaeyers to play harder. An assistant coach is an apprentice. JB was learning from milk hair
