Just got off the phone with my mother and their home is flooding again as we speak due to the release of water off of Buffalo Bayou. Everyone in the neighborhood is convinced they are the sacrificial lamb because they pay less in property taxes. Just not a good situation. Why intentionally flood houses?

There was a copperhead snake in my front yard yesterday. Neighbor killed it with a shovel and then told us about it.

I thought I could ignore this and lulz at you guys but it's screwing up the drive from Beltway 8 towards City Centre and it's becoming MY problem now.

Traffic on greenhouse and barker has been miserable lately because of this. It's so backed up in the mornings.

Yeah took me a few days to find the best routes to an from work, but now it seems others are doing the same thing. There are no more good routes; they all suck in their own special way.

It can take 20+ minutes to just get on 290 at Huffmeister. Getting on at Telge is much better but it'll take about 10 minutes to just get to Huffmeister, so it's not great.

I've just been getting in the HOV lane, though again, it's not great. (I'm assuming driver + baby qualifies for HOV!)

Going home I get on I-10 via the park and ride entrance off highway 6, exit Fry, then take that to Saums or Morton or West Little York (depending on what traffic maps show) to Greenhouse and take that all the way up to West. If I don't feel like putting up with that s***, I just take 10 to 99 to 290. No traffic but costly tolls and a longer drive.

I can confirm Driver plus baby is valid. I lived in Old Katy and would commute to Deer Park so that my wife could be closer to her work. We had a lady from our church watching our daughter while I work for DPISD. Do not miss that drive at all.

Yes, Clay is open all the way. Eldridge and 6 are still closed.

    Don't tell anyone though.

They say Eldridge is open north of I-10 now.

Is it open heading south? Planning on attending the Greek Festival this weekend.
