+/- 5 wins. Why throw 15M at a great coach when it can at most buy 5 wins. I said, save up that money for players and go innovative with no coach. Houston Rockets 2016, first team in history to be coach-less.
They have a system established with contingency plans set in place. It's about maintaining a positive culture with a great project scope blue print.
Nothing wrong but it also makes it extremely difficult to evaluate his coaching abillity. Bud got his OWN team and there implemented his system from scratch. Teaching it to the players (which btw takes about a year in this specific case) and developing it even if it has similarities with Pop's It's not the same as Walton's case.
Is he s good coach? I have no idea. How can you judge him, when he clearly has the best team in the league? I always give 95% of the credit and blame to the players. The Warriors are on cruise control.
Will Walton be coaching the west at the ASG? Will Walton win coach of the year? Will McHale get 16:0 too if he was coaching that team?
Nothing wrong with using Kerr's system, obviously he's doing it successfully. My point is Luke Walton has the absolute least to do with 16-0. And he hasn't faced any challenges in his 1 year and 16 games as an NBA coach to make anyone think that he could handle a team that's slightly dysfunctional at the moment.
Now do you guys think he's ready to be a head coach? JB needs to go regardless. I'm hearing the Knicks and I'm sure other teams are going to be begging for his services after winning a championship last year and helping them go on pace for the best record in NBA history this season.
Hell no. Not unless we blow it up and start from scratch. There is no way Walton could command respect from Harden or Dwight. NONE.
If Walton can bring in the much coveted illegal screen offense of Kerr he'd be worth it. Seeing as how no rocket will get those calls, we should pass.
Walton is gonna be another overrated bum! He literally had to just roll the Warriors out there. He did nothing!!! I could have coached the Warriors to that record as well with Curry damn near never missing at the beginning of the season. Please bring in a seasoned coach.
I mean. McHale could probably lead that team to a championship. Luke Waltons record there doesn't really tell me much about his coaching.
