Totally agreed. Like leroy said, it's a perfect fit. I like Charlie Strong, but if Chip Kelly's available...sorry Charlie.

Not so sure about the fit at UT. Chip is a really weird, odd guy. I don't know if his act would fly in that environment.

I have little doubt Charlie Strong's final 2 years at Louisville with Teddy will be the peak of his head coaching career. The same might be true of Chip Kelly's great run at Oregon.

I do hope Chip goes to UT. It would be great to follow. The news cycle would be non-stop 24/7/365.

Agreed. With a $15M buyout and it being the 3rd HC in 3 years, Texas would absolutely need to know who their replacement is beforehand.

IMO, the question shouldn't be whether Strong can get this program turned around. Rather, we should be asking whether Texas has the best HC "available" going into next season.

I'd be fine with Chip. He fits the Big 12 style of play too.

Chip Kelly = KKK, needs to be coaching near Shreveport. UT hiring Paul Finebaum.

UT isn't the right job for Charlie Strong, and that Chip Kelly will be a good option at UT if he can't right the ship in Philly.

I never said Strong wasn't a good talent evaluator. You can see that with the current UT squad. There is plenty of talent. What I said was that Louisville in hindsight had plenty of talent. You don't make a no talent prospect into a first round draft pick. My original statement was Strong wasn't going to outcoach anybody. I should have been more specific. I don't think Strong will out-scheme other teams. I think he is a pretty good coach, but his assistant hires are lack luster. He needs to hire people that are more creative.

In regards to the secondary. Don't blame the DB's for giving up record amount of rushing yards to everyone team under the sun. That is on Manny Diaz. He had no business being at UT.

I said that Charlie strong was not good last year, and some people here were mad on me to say it. UT need go for the top coach who has a big name. Look at Michgan, OSU. they got the results immediately. Chip Kelly would be great for UT, and he seems to be fired by Phil sooner or later. There is a chance for UT to get him.

When is this Boyd guy going to be kicked off the team? An apology isn't close to enough.

You don't think being a weird, odd guy in Austin would be a fit?

    Augie Garrido disagrees.

I just realized UT is being out-recruited by UH apparently.
Not that I fully trust recruiting rankings... but there's a momentum to this that does not look good.

Unfortunately, I do think the hire big name camp is right, regarding a fast fix. Recruits respond to those names.

Is Chip Kelly the only remotely available of those names?

An 18 year old freshman made a dumb mistake and apologized for it. Let's move on.

Nick Saban? ESPN ratio people talked that there was a possible for Saban moving on sometime soon if Alabama lost to Georgia, but they did not.
