with the brewer connection now, we might get one. i'd also like to see more happy. in fact, where is feliz?
Fair enough. I don't trust anyone in this bullpen and this game was a must WIN. Oh well, back to having just a 1-1.5 game lead.
Carter should be playing everyday now... he's been hitting the ball well for the past week and we need to take advantage of that. Sure, he's had his struggles yearlong, but we know he has the potential to explode based on last year and he's seeing the ball well so should get plenty of plate appearances the rest of this season.
The pen was doing so well in the first half and he was being commended for his handling of the pen then. What the team has to do is improve the talent in the pen. Internally or externally, we need to find a closer to push Gregerson back to a setup role, and try and find another guy that can get more K's.
I'm curious to know how many of you think the Astros got into a position to possibly make the playoffs without this bullpen? Yes, they have been questionable of late. But this team is under .500 without the bullpen being as good as they were for a large majority of the year.

Well, positives: Fiers pitched good. We do have a strong rotation for next year. Springer delivered, that is very important. Stassi looks like a better option as a backup than Conger, as he is better defensively. We need to re sign Sipp. Altuve and Correa. Now, our problems are......
Nahhh, clearly they just won a bunch of blowouts and the bullpen has been terrible forever and will always be terrible. It's not like they're top 3 in AL bullpen ERA or anything, even post September meltdown..
