I’d imagine most people on here aren’t upset by this because they realize the above and don’t care what click bait articles ESPN posts on their homepage. All you’re doing is continuing to generate more revenue from the company you claim to spite...

Do yourself a favor and spend ~$8/month and buy a subscription to the Athletic if you want real sports coverage (and of any team you want whether they are good/bad or in a small/big market).

That $8/month will reduce your stress by saving you from the garbage on ESPN and you’ll find it actually intriguing/insightful to read the articles. Just think about it...when was the last time you read an article on ESPN and came away thinking “wow that was really insightful”?

Seriously, EFFF espn, unless I'm watching a live game, all of their actual sports reporting/coverage is complete crap. PTI is the only show worth watching, and even that I went from watching it everyday to maybe once every couple of weeks. I don't even go the website anymore. Whatever I need I get from primary sources - the team websites themselves.

What's really ridiculous is that this thread complaining about how one media outlet kinda-sorta ignored the game has twice as many posts as the thread celebrating said game. Sad.

The game was 5 days ago. The Astros have lost Twice to 2 of the worst teams in baseball since then.

Stop worrying about what others think. You win, they will pay attention.

I disagree. I think there is shell shock about realizing that Houston sports don’t drive the economics of National media outlets like the Yankees, Dodgers, Red Sox, the Patriots, Golden State, the Lakers, etc... Let’s not kid here, sports generates “mula”, and that’s why it’s plastered everywhere. Plus, people don’t really leave Houston so it’s not like you have Houston transplants all over the nation in droves.

I as a fan could care less what someone in Chicago reads about my Houston team. I’ve learned that if I want to read about our teams, there is a wonderful site called Clutchfans that has avid Houston sports fans who are insightful and honest about the team, after a while you get a read on most of the regular posters and get a feel for any bias they exhibit.

There is bias in everything that involves the human touch. There is bias even in the local news, sometimes I wonder I saw the news folks there and it was newsworthy, but It never made the cut on the local news...

But trying to paint Houston fans as having a inferiority complex isn’t right. You don’t know how old a poster is, they could still be an impressionable youth.
