NBA Considering a best of 3 playoff series. This is good.

    The NBA is determined to salvage what they can of the 2019-20 season. That includes drastically adjusting the playoff schedule per Marc Berman of the New York Post.

    Among proposals being considered are best-of-three playoff series. The NBA has all but rejected a single-game elimination tournament. That would only be considered as a last resort per Berman.

    One of the proposals on the table is gathering the entire league in one site to conclude the season. This proposal would involve playing games without fans present, but televising the contests. That would involve a 5-to-7 game regular season, followed by the playoffs.

    Sites rumored to be under consideration are Las Vegas, Orlando, Hawaii, Atlantic City, Louisville and the Bahamas. Any site would have to have basketball facilities, as well as well as plenty of room to house the teams in a closed environment.

    One league official was quoted by Berman as saying “Nothing is off the table.” Another told Berman “They’re very determined to have a champion.”

    I think this helps us, but once we win it all, kellerman will still say that "Harden can't win in a 7 game series"

    Sounds like the best option.

    I wonder though..I mean think about it, Klay and Curry will be back and relatively healthy. It instantly makes them very dangerous.

    I like that they are trying to do something and this is so much better than nothing, but the NBA has to stop trying to make THIS season happen. There can't be a Corona Champion. That's cheap. It just wouldn't be the same as the rest of the champions. Not even equal to the lockout champions.

    They b out, but Nets are a top 5 team if KD is the same.

    I honestly don't know why they wouldn't just do best of 7. That way the winners of the ring can say they won a real ring.

    I misread that, I thought it would be a super short regular season culminating in a playoffs, if something like that were the case it would really favor teams that have had hurt players. Portland, GSW, Nets...

    Speaking of Portland, they are right there still and they were missing a lot of players for their run, they are going to be a dangerous team no matter what they do to salvage the season, especially with Dame heroics in a shortened series.

    Who ****ing cares if the Rockets win and there's an asterisk. Everyone in the playoffs, has an equal opportunity. I'm down

    Knowing Houston sports, Rockets will win.

    Every championship of this city has some BS asterisk.

    Although I don't agree with them. A lot of (Stupid) NBA fans think Hakeem never wins a championship without Jordan's retirement and a lot of (Stupid) MLB fans think the Astros never win without the sign stealing scandal.

    But hey, I'd take it. Give us another (*) championship.

    Nothing like a Game-Seven, though.

    A seven-game series almost always produces the best team, while an inferior team could win two of three games. That works for an "amateur" form of basketball like the NCAA, but not the NBA. My opinion.

    championship series..maybe...but not every playoff series need to be 7. hell, why not more then? why not play a 21 game series just to be sure?

    1st round should be 3
    2nd round 5
    WCF + Finals = 7

    I think the NBA should cancel the season and start planning for next season. I know Lebron is calling every 5 minutes to get this season restarted, something about a window closing....... Rockets got exposed BIG time during that losing streak, restarting the season offers no advantage for the rockets. Just my opinion.
