    http://www.espn.com/chalk/story/_/i...golden-state-warriors-regular-season-wins-665

The Golden State Warriors are projected to win 10 more games during the regular season than the defending NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers, according to season-win totals posted today by the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.
    2016-17 NBA Regular-Season Win Totals

The over/under benchmark for regular-season wins for each NBA team for the 2016-17 season, as determined by the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas:
    Team Wins Team Wins
    Golden St. 66.5 Minnesota 41.5
    Cleveland 56.5 Charlotte 39.5
    San Antonio 56.5 Dallas 39.5
    LA Clippers 53.5 Milwaukee 39.5
    Boston 51.5 Chicago 38.5
    Toronto 49.5 New York 38.5
    Utah 47.5 Miami 36.5
    Portland 46.5 New Orleans 36.5
    Detroit 45.5 Orlando 36.5
    Okla. City 45.5 Denver 34.5
    Atlanta 43.5 Sacramento 32.5
    Indiana 43.5 Philadelphia 27.5
    Memphis 43.5 Phoenix 26.5
    Washington 42.5 LA Lakers 24.5
    Houston 41.5 Brooklyn 20.5

The Warriors' season-win total is set at 66.5. The Cavaliers and San Antonio Spurs each opened at 56.5 at the Westgate.

The day after Kevin Durant signed with the Warriors, the SuperBook opened the over/under on Golden State's season win total at 68.5. It is the highest preseason win total oddsmaker Jeff Sherman has ever posted and attracted early money on the under from sharp bettors.

"Basically, the sharps are liking the under [on Golden State] and the public is liking the over," Sherman said.

The 10-win gap between the Warriors and the other elite teams, Cleveland and San Antonio, is unusual, Sherman said. In past seasons, the elite teams had opening win totals in the range of 61.5, with the next tier of contenders listed in the high 50s. In addition to the Cavaliers and Spurs, only two other teams -- the LA Clippers (53.5) and Boston Celtics (51.5) -- opened with win totals greater than 50.

"It's really an outlier for the Warriors to be as separated as they are," Sherman said.
    2016-17 NBA Division Odds

Odds for each team to win their respective divisions during the 2016-17 NBA season, as determined by the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas:
    Atlantic Odds Southwest Odds
    Boston 10/11 San Antonio 1/7
    Toronto 5/4 Memphis 8/1
    New York 8/1 Houston 15/1
    Philadelphia 35/1 Dallas 25/1
    Brooklyn 200/1 New Orleans 40/1
    Central Odds Northwest Odds
    Cleveland 1/10 Utah 2/1
    Detroit 12/1 Portland 9/4
    Indiana 15/1 Okla. City 5/2
    Milwaukee 25/1 Minnesota 5/1
    Chicago 40/1 Denver 50/1
    Southeast Odds Pacific Odds
    Atlanta 9/5 Golden St. 1/40
    Washington 2/1 LA Clippers 7/1
    Charlotte 4/1 Sacramento 150/1
    Miami 8/1 Phoenix 300/1
    Orlando 8/1 LA Lakers 500/1

Several teams that missed the playoffs last season are projected to make significant improvements. After going 10-72 last season, the Philadelphia 76ers' win total opened at 27. The Minnesota Timberwolves, who hired coach Tom Thibodeau after going 29-53 last season, opened with a win total of 41.5. The Utah Jazz's win total opened at 47.5, the third highest in the Western Conference.

The Brooklyn Nets have the lowest win total at 20.5, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers at 24.5. That's 42 wins less than the Warriors, who remain outright favorites at -140 to win the title.

Sherman said Tuesday that almost four times as much money had been bet on the Warriors as on any other team. Approximately 60 percent of the money bet on Westgate's odds to win the NBA title is on Golden State.

The Warriors, however, haven't attracted the most overall bets to win the championship. At the SuperBook, more bets have been placed on the 80-1 longshot New York Knicks than any other team.

Warriors have a team projected to have the fourth best record in the league and are still getting 1/40 to win the division.

Didn't look TBH. But I generally go to the Rockets section first myself.

Anyways, 41 seems too low. Min 45 wins IMO. The Jazz prediction is just crazy.
    What do you think?

.500 team give or take sounds about right. Utah has had high hopes for the past 2 years and haven't come close to expectations for whatever reasons (injuries, youth etc) I would still take under for Utah this year
