LOL late riser up the draft board.

    Smaller school.

    1 sack his first year.

He doesn't look like a star to me.

Clowney's potential far supersedes Macks. Let's talk in two years.

    That's a normal, well-adjusted grown man post.

...but why not mention that you hate Clowney and/or Rick Smith and you knew he would be a bust - and then keep posting in every thread a "reminder" that you didn't want Clowney while thinking "Hey, they might think I'm smart if I keep posting I didn't want Clowney" when in reality all it does it make you look like a stupid blowhard dumbass.

Today, local radio mentioned Clowney has healed exponentially better than usual.

They said normal cartilage lost in his surgery is 3 cm, he's only lost .5

    Found an article on it.

From what I gather, it seems like Clowney won't necessarily be on the field ahead of schedule, but rather there should be less time needed for him to get up to speed and into game shape. Awesome news.

I think they were saying off the quad muscle measurements, not cartilage. Saying they were talking cartilage, although not done on purpose, could be very misleading for some.

Team physician says that he looks "spectacular." Clowney is a freak. If anyone can overcome this, it's Clowney. Don't sleep on him just yet.

I picture Clowney and Watt hitting Luck at the same time causing him to Rosencopter 20 feet into the air. Then the classic Dylan you son of a b**** handshake to celebrate.

Indeed. Not cartilage, it's his quadricep that has healed very well. Won't early his return, he's just more likely to regain his pre-injury form.

    Great news

    Texans' defensive potential is dreamy.

In basketball, Zach Randolph had microfracture surgery too. Travis Kelce had it his rookie season in the NFL and was a top 10 TE with more 20+ yard receptions than anyone not named Gronk or Fleener....and he did it with a garbage QB.

Maybe we aren't that far away from microfracture surgery being like Tommy John surgery in baseball for pitchers. Something that used to be the death knell for their careers but now is quite recoverable.

I am sure age plays a factor.

Clowney seems like all natural ability(part sarcasm) so this doesn't shock me that he barely lost any muscle.

Age and the condition of the knee probably make the most difference. If you are old and your knee is in terrible shape and you are looking at microfracture as a last resort, you probably don't have a very good chance of getting good results.

What do yall think he returns to, % wise, this year and beyond?

75% this year, 85% in future years? I have no idea. Would love to see input from people who know wth is going on.
