Who would you choose? I'd have to go with Sura and Mutombo.

    Yao Ming a role player?

Mike James would help us out a ton with PG depth I think.

He killed it in that series.

Anyone that doesn't pick Mutumbo must be crazy. Crazy as it sounds, we actually statistically played better with Mutumbo on the court than Yao. I would have loved to have Jon Barry. That white boy could shoot.

Mike James with his scoring off the bench and mutombo's defense and rebounding.

With the foul trouble our bigs are having I would go with Deke and to shore up our PG and three point shooting Sura.

Seeing how much different the game was when we didn't have the big shot blocking presence in the middle it's pretty clear that Deke would be very valuable. Sura would fit nicely into the current Rockets' system.

Sura and Deke are the only acceptable answer

Mike James was a great scorer but he had tunnel vision way too much looking just for his shot

Sura and Mutombo. Really easy pick. Best combination of heart, balls, defense, and leadership.

God love Flyin' Ryan, but outside of that series he played 9 minutes per game for his Rockets career. Plus Dirk evolved a lot in the last 10 years to counter the "put smaller guys on him" tactic.

If we had Sura and Juwan Howard healthy, we would have won that 2005 series.

But yeah, definitely Sura and Mutumbo.

Sura has to be one of my favorite Rockets ever. Dude was tough and didn't give one f-ck about it. Gutsy shooter and the ultimate team guy.

And of course, Mutumbo would be amazing on this team. I miss when we had big men that hit free throws. Both Yao and Deke were 75% or better.

I'll take this combination. Barry was just instant energy and got the second unit rolling with the shooting and fast breaking.
