He's been growing on that gharam masala, gosh and tarkari with a lot of samosas and dal chaawal on the side. Don't forget his daily intake of gulabjamboo's! ;)

Learning from Yao, he'll probably get injured before getting any major minutes.

Will Chinese NBA stalkers finally get revenge for Yao Ming?

Was expecting a no talent stiff. He actualy looks to have decent footwork for a guy his size and actually looks somewhat athletic. I wonder why noone signed him sooner

I wish we could have got him for 10 days... lotta Indian fans in Houston, would have been great for the city, and of course for Sim.

Kings owner Vivek Ranadive, who has been known to get involved with operations, is from India so there's a likely causation there. Might be looking for the Jeremy Lin of India (market reasons).

    Wack...

Being tall helped him. No skills. I just hope sooner than later that we can actually have someone who is skilled and not that tall from the South Asia Region to make it to the NBA.

Nothing against Bhullar and I wish him (and his brother at NMSU) well, but it was known from the beginning that he's in this position 100% because of his race and the owner having a personal interest to get an Indian in the league.

He declared for the NBA early, and everyone was like WTF since no one thought he'd be drafted. He wasn't drafted, but I'm guessing the Kings' owner promised him a roster spot in their D-league if he declared.

Kings are a joke franchise so nothing to lose giving him a chance and some exposure.

Both him and the NBA have already admitted that they're trying to market to the India market. It's rather obvious at this point that being of Indian heritage absolutely helps Sim Bhullar's case. This discussion will probably come up again when his brother, 7'3" Tanveer declares for the NBA.

Another player from India that might appear in the summer league in the future.

What's funny is that there have been some games where he was putting up similar numbers to Hassan Whiteside (cherry picking may have helped) in the D-League and he's listed at 360 lbs. If he actually got more serious to maintain lesser weight, he might end up being a serviceable backup.

Sim Bhullar is listed at 360 lbs., which is 30 lbs. heavier than the heaviest *listed* player to ever appear in NBA game: Thomas Hamilton
— Basketball Reference (@bball_ref) April 2, 2015

I like him. He's aggressive, he plays huge, seems to understand his role, and has some touch. Hopefully he gets some time with the Kings. I'd love to see Lebron go down the lane on him. LOL That would be epic either way it goes.
