Walu Walu at Uchi. It's practically a perfect dish. You really can go wrong with anything at Uchi, though. I suggest the happy hour. The place opens at first come first serve seating at 5:00 with a happy hour menu that is quite a bit cheaper than the normal menu. Uchi is my favorite restaurant in the city.
Chicken at al aseel Burger at stanton's Spaghetti scoglio at Capri pasta (rip) Chicken tikka masala at tandoori nite food truck Chicken tacos at pollos Asados la silla
Sinh Sinh - Curry Chicken Best Asian dish in town. Could be spicy based on your resistance to spices.
Ousie's Table, Frank's, Punks, Liberty are worth trying. In that order. There's some Vietnamese place people like for chicken fried steak but I've never had it.
Captain Tom's on 1960/i10 and west green/i10 and bwy 8 east. Best catfish I've had. Make it with corn meal and catch it fresh, not from vendors. Cheerleader burger at Bernies is awesome. Lime beef fajitas at Guadalajaras. Cedar plank salmon or Pecan crusted trout at Rockfish. Their mashed sweet potatoes w bourbon sauce is also great. Pretty much anything at Osaka but love their oversized sushi pieces and complimentary and amazing green tea ice cream. Lobster roll at Mainely Sandwiches. Deep dish pizza at Stars.
Chicken tikka and fried parata (bread) at Bundu Khan Fajitas at El Tiempo Shawarmas at House of Kabob Hummus at Kasra Cevab at Cafe Pita Garlic fish at Thai Gourmet. I'd say my favorite current dishes are: The Roosevelt Platter at El Real (cheese enchiladas with a fried egg on top, served with the best refried beans on the planet. I get a tamale on the side and buy the frito pie as an appetizer.) The C&D burger at Hay Merchant. If you're a fan of In n Out, this is a must try. The beef rib at Killens. Eat like you're Fred Flintstone. It's amazing. The happy hour burger at Mockingbird. Wagyu beef with stilton cheese. Comes with fries and, at 9 bucks, is a steal. The pork chop at Reef. Better than Perry's, and I know that's a bold statement. I went with a couple of critics and we all thought it was superior. The oysters Gilhooley at Gilhooley's. Worth the drive to Seabrook every time.
So I finally tried the fajitas at Lupe Tortillas. They don't even compare to El Tiempo, at all. Sitting here drinking some 1800 margaritas though, pure perfection.

After years of driving past it I finally went to the 1960 location and it was very good. Tried Sudie's at the rodeo and it was just ok, but that could be because it was at the rodeo not the restaurant. Who has the best homemade onion rings?
