    Basically told his team to list out extension eligible players like Harden 2 years ago.

    If teams are far off on extension talks, he is going to vulture in.

    Apparently this was part of his plan.

    He's not optimistic, but this is his final lookout before season.

    Just posted in the other thread about Tristan Thompson wanting an extension starting at 11mil. I dont think the cavs give it to him. Your thoughts?

    Don't think they will... They only have Lebron at 2 years too.. Who knows what the next Cba will look like.

    So if he doesn't find a deal, he'll just roll out the roster we have now? That makes the most sense if no deal is agreed upon..

    Rubio is the only one of those names that falls into the category that cyberx is referring to. (That doesn't mean those other names aren't also being discussed, though.)

    Noteworthy extension-eligible players include:

    Ricky Rubio
    Reggie Jackson
    Kenneth Faried
    Enes Kanter
    Tristan Thompson
    Nikola Vucevic
    Jimmy Butler

    I'm not including Kawhi Leonard or Klay Thompson, whose teams are virtually guaranteed of keeping them, likely for the max salary.

    I think Jimmy Butler could be in play

    1. The Bulls will be in the same situation that OKC was with Harden in that they don't want to pay that luxury tax.

    2. They can theoretically afford to trade Butler with McBuckets (offense) and Snell (defense/length) filling in.

    It would be awesome to

    1. Absorb Taj Gibson with the TPE
    2. Trade Dmo or Jones for Butler

    Granted we still need a PG but with this lineup

    Howard
    Gibson
    Ariza
    Harden
    Beverly

    and Butler as the 6th man, that's a pretty good team.

    Hope he can get a backup center and pg in a deal. Dorsey is shorter than parsons he is gonna have trouble
