My List: 1. Cole Aldrich - Big center, 25 years old, playing on last year of a minimum deal. I think he turned the corner last year and is going to earn some votes. Might not win the award but if you consider how much he improves he may improve the most over next season. He has become a stalwart paint defender and rebounder. By the end of the year I think he'll be considered one of the better defensive centers in the league (top 15). (I'd really like to have this guy backing up Dwight but I don't think there's any way the Knicks part with him at this point.) 2. Cody Zeller - great work ethic, stunk his rookie sesaon. I think he'll break out this year. 3. Donatas Motiejunas - I think this is his year and I think by the end of the year he is recognized as a big time talent and he'll earn MIP votes.
I'll go Jeff Teague, leading the hawks to a top 4 seed Or Kemba walker leading his team to a top 4 seed
Anthony Davis will be the first MIP that have already played in the all star game. Other nominations, Kendal Marshell and Bradley Beal
Why did you select 3 players who just as easily be out of the league at the beginning of next year? I seriously doubt that any of these three players will win the MIP. Usualy that is a player who took the step from role player to scorer.
I didn't. No way will Zeller be out of the league by next year. And very doubtful Motie will be. Now...Aldrich..that's the possible guy out of the league. But like I said I think he's turned the corner and I think he'll be the Knicks starting 5 and he'll accomodate himself quite well as a paint defending rebounder. It's just an educated guess. And it's a guy nobody is talking about. Because up until last season he had shown absolutely nothing. I picked 3 guys that have not broke out that I think will have drastic improvements to their game.
I would guess he has an incredible run this year. He could probably win it. But I wouldn't consider he came out of nowhere.
1. Gorgui Dieng (now with Love gone, his chance to develop into Ibaka-lite) 2. Motie (gonna translate his FIBA World Cup performance to the NBA and backup C position is his to lose) 3. Isaiah Thomas (up-tempo hornysack offense, playing alongside Dragic)
