The season is close to 2 weeks away with a big game : Texas A&M @ South Carolina on the SEC network. Will FSU repeat ? How much will Texas improve ? A&M without Johnny , but loaded at every skilled position on offense . Will Oregon not lose that one crucial game in late November ? Will Braxton lead the Buckeyes into the Playoff game? Will Ole Miss take that next step ? Will OU live up to the hype ?

Oregon, Oklahoma, and Ohio State ahead of Auburn. Michigan State is too low too. End of rant, though. Preseason polls are meaningless.
Michigan State at Oregon on September 6th will kick one of them out of the college football playoff right off the bat.
People are putting way too much stock into OUs win vs Bama. Bama didn't want to be there and Trevor Knight isn't going to be even close to that this year. I wouldn't be surprised to see them have 2 or 3 losses.
I already got my tickets for the Iron Bowl. Not counting on it be more epic than last year's Iron Bowl (how could it?) but it's gonna be great. Better hope Coker is up for the task!
I don't think two sec teams will make it in the inaugural year of the College Football Playoff. There would be an outrage from non SEC fans if the championship game ends up similar to the 2012 game. As for my 4: Florida State - Easy schedule, duh Bama - Homer pick? Duh. UCLA or Oregon out of the pac 12 Winner of Baylor/OU out of the Big 12. If any team from the Big Ten makes it then it's an automatic first round bye for the team they would play.
Just curious. Been wanting to post it for a while, but what do you guys think of expanding it to 24 teams? Make it "Champions League" style. The stronger conferences like the SEC can get 3 teams in, while the Sun Belt will get one team in, which would be the conference winner, and they would start in the opening round. You could adjust how many teams from a conference gets into the playoffs by some rating system based on how good the conference was the last four years or so. a 24 team playoff would last five weeks.
