It´s the off season, so I guess daydreaming topics are tolerated

With the Spurs probably closing the series next Sunday, could this be a wake up call for the Heat, that the formula "LeBron carrying a bunch of oldies that wants the Ring" won´t work anymore?

Well, being realistic: the Heat, of course, would only move LeBron as the last resource. Right now, no other player has more marketing impact (WW) than him, so that also means $$ for the Heat.

However, IF is LeBron that has the initiative to give up on the Heat, (you can see his frustration when sitting on the bench, while his team being unable to score without him), I think Rockets will show up as one of the possibilities for LeBron.

Why is that? Well, if Lebron requests a move while under contract, we have the right balance, of young talent for the Heat vs possibility of championship for LeBron.
We could give up Harden, Parsons, Asik, Lin, Jones, Bev (or the third star Morey will bring us this offseason) to have him.

Am I playing too much fantasy basketball?

Man, we will go down as one of the most hated teams in history if Lebron came lmao. Dwight already brought some haters over *cough* Lakers. But to the topic, it is possible... but will it happen?

Imho Lebron and Dwight kinda hate each other, so I don't see this happening.

We don't want LeBron, he is a horrible defender, I have figured this out based on watching this video clip over and over:

Putting him with Harden would make us the worst defensive team since the Paul Westhead Nuggets.

This is why we trade Harden for Lebron.

LeBron is not dumb. No way in heck he leaves the East and goes West. In the East he can keep coasting and still make the Finals.

Not likely, but you know we're blowing up his phone.

All we need is one domino to fall our way.

    1) Heat lose and LeBron/Bosh become free agents.
    2) Knicks/Melo agree to a SnT with Houston.
    3) Love decides he will only resign with Houston.
    4) Boston decides to rebuild, and is willing to send us Rondo.
    5) Dirk wants to win now.

All we need is one of those to fall our way.

Wade isn't walking away from the two years left on his contract, not unless he can sign a full max extension, which isn't going to happen. So that means the Heat are overpaying a declining player for two more years, prime years for LeDiva, and LeDiva knows it. Can the Heat trade Wade for equal value? Nope, not at 20 million per, so I don't see how LeDiva stays. I think he opts out and goes to NY. I think Bosh opts out if a team offers him a max. Otherwise, he stays, and I think it's far more likely Morey chases after Bosh (again), and we just might get him.

Wait, isn't Lebron a free agent (if he opts out), why the hell would we trade Harden for him if we could just sign him?

Exactly... for sure Harden would be in the trading package for Lebron. It is just impossible to happen without him.

    http://www.spotrac.com/nba/miami-heat/lebron-james/

He will only become a unrestricted free agent in 2016-17 season.

Good writeup. My thoughts as well.

LeBron and everyone else needs to stop targeting Jordan. At this point, the dream of surpassing Jordan as the percieved GOAT is a distant memory. Forget the legacy talk. Forget the "3 different teams" talk. Just win, baby. And Houston is the best place to "just win".

It also doesn't hurt that Harden seems to be SA's kryptonite.
