Rockets never put this stuff out there, but post whatever news you may came across.

We already know Marcus Smart had a combine interview with the Rockets. Yesterday, Morey watched 7'2'' Chinese center Li Muhao work out in LA - anyone know if this guy has actual NBA potential or just another stiff?

[rQUOTEr]It is worth mentioning that the Rockets general manager Daryl Morey also went to the site to watch the Limu Hao workout, he and the Magic are the earliest people, but also the last to leave.

When I see this, I can't help but think that the business ties ($$$) that Les developed with China will haunt his dreams forever. Naturally if this guy were any good we'd love to be the ones to have him. But looks like he'd be a long way away, and he's already, what?, almost 22?

    NBA Comparison: Robert Dozier
Strengths: A long athletic Big Man with intriguing potential ... runs the floor like a deer and shows fluid finishing ability in transition ... Light on his feet and has good leaping ability ... very agile for someone his size ... Has good hands around the rim and good feel for the basket when making cuts where he can finish with both hands ... Is capable of facing up and spinning both ways ... Uses his length and athleticism to finish with dunks off put-backs and lob passes ... When he is in good position he can make his moves and finish with hook shots using either hand ... Even has some ball-handling skills ... Shows developing skills but still needs more time to put it together ...

Weaknesses: Is still raw and not confidence on offense ... Doesn't show the passion to be a standout player ... At times he makes one wonder how he does not dominate or grab more rebounds ... Inconsistent motor as he does not try to grab every rebound ... An average rebounder in the CBA (11% Offensive Rebounding %) ... Settles for too many outside shots instead of scoring inside ... Does not block enough shots as he has the length and athletic ability to do so (0.8 blocks in 16 minutes a game), not physical enough mainly due to his his lack of strength ... needs to get much stronger ... He is often outplayed by his teamates and his team is at times an overall better team without him on the floor ... China has put a lot of pressure on him to do well and follow Yao's footsteps .. mentally he is not mature enough to turn it into motivation ... Has NBA potential but is still long ways away ... Has yet to show he can dominate the CBA (Chinese Basketball Association).

Overall: It is rare to find a player of his potential, but his development has been slow and although there a flashes of brilliance he cannot consistently perform at a high level ... Has higher upside than fellow Chinese Center Wang Zhelin but is far behind him right now ...

    Dang, he's 22.

By the time he starts to exit his prime Dwight would already be retired.

I feel like this is a great year to pick up an additional second rounder or two. If we can get a third star, we're going to need them to fill out the roster and hopefully we'll get a steal.

I've been following him for a few years. He's still raw and needs a lot more strength, but this guy has legit length. His combination of height, wingspan and vertical is definitely lottery level in any draft.

He showed improvement in CBA last season, and with more development could contribute on defense and rebounding in NBA. A good project if we don't have to use any pick...

Li Muhao only averaged 9pts and 5 rbs this past season in the CBA. He's already been there for at least 3 seasons. Usually NBA prospects from China either show flashes in world competitions or dominate in the CBA.

7-2 Chinese big man Li Muhao conducted a 1 on 0 workout yesterday in front of some NBA teams. Reportedly looked out of shape and struggled.
— Jonathan Givony (@DraftExpress) May 21, 2014

The best prospect right now from China is Wang Zhelin, who supposedly won't be eligible until 2016 unless he gets clearance to declare earlier.

Since there is news that his Chinese team might not even release him, a summer league invite seems to be the better option.

Wang Zhelin is much better offensively and should be able to play in NBA. He shines in the Nike summit last year.

The real deal is Zhou Qi, who just turned 18 and will debut in CBA soon. Zhou is widely considered as the next future star after Yao.

Do not want another player to bring out the crazy "Asian player" only fans. I'm counting down the minutes till JLin is no longer a rocket.

His team is one of the contenders in CBA, and he's asked to concentrate on defense and rebounding with increased but limited minutes.

I wouldn't mind to take him in mid to late second round if we can buy a pick. He's pretty athletic and mobile for his size. He is 7"2' center with 7"5' wingspan and 33" max vertical. His standing reach is about 9"5'.

You don't always find player with this kind of phisical combination(That's spectacular TBH), and he's improved steadily but slowly in last couple of seasons. His favorite NBA player is KG.

Looks like he'll be a summer league invite at best.

33 inch vert for a 7'2 guy is pretty amazing, but you have to wonder how long his knees and feet will be able to compensate all that jumping and movement.

Yes, he's a tough kid who's not afraid of contact. He improved a lot over last few years in this aspect. However, he's not Cousins type. He has plenty of hop but lacks a lot of strength.

His phisical attributes is unbelievable minus the strength, and he's raw offensively. But it's hard to find this kind of size and mobility especially in second round or undrafted players. He'll stay in CBA for at least one more year even if drafted, so I'd take a flyer on him in late second round and stash overseas.

Look at the hair. Li is clearly immature and unprofessional. Do not want.
