http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-s...l-logo-helmet-bucco-bruce-161221498--nfl.html The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have a new coach, front office, and will add another component on Thursday. A new Buccaneers logo and helmet. Please let it be the reincarnation of Bucco Bruce. According to the team’s website, Hall of Famer Warren Sapp will unveil Tampa Bay’s new look during a segment on the NFL Network’s Total Access show on Thursday, which airs at 8 p.m. ET. Sapp announced the impending change via Twitter on Tuesday, and the team confirmed it. Tampa Bay changed its entire look in 1997 when it switched from those infamous orange uniforms to pewter and red. Ironically, the woeful franchise evolved into a consistent winner, and eventual Super Bowl champions, in the new uniforms. We can only hope Bucco Bruce is represented in these new uniforms. If the new uniforms resemble the horrific attire worn during the Pro Bowl, fans may cling to their Mike Alstott jerseys. Props to anyone who still owns a Martin Gramática jersey. Bucs, do not let us down.
Steel Blue, Rapey Red and Liberty White? Seriously couldn't remember the dork name the Texans gave the red... went with rapey.
Colors will remain the same. The red will be more prominent, a'la 49ers. They should not include Blue. Keep the golden brown and red. Bring back Bucco. Is that ship thing in the stadium also going to change? [CANNONS blast]
Of those, the top right is awesome. I read that those helmets were helmet/logo prototypes from the original logo change, though.
Sorry for the double post... I'm in the minority in thinking that creamsicle and pewter, if done right, would be absolutely awesome. The Bucs have a history of using different colors from the rest of the league....
New unis. To be announced later. It looks like the pewter is almost a slate color (could be my phone's screen, though). I'm curious to see how they work in the orange.
To up the coolness factor, the oversized logo is trimmed in chrome to match the chrome face mask. With these subtle touches of chrome, one has to wonder if we'll see any chrome touches used on the uniforms. May seem impossible but it's Nike...
