The LG seems to have substantial power advantages over the S4 which is about to be replaced by a S5. The S4 is still $199 and the LG S2 is $99 -- both of the prices are with a 2 year agreement. I currently have a S2 which still works well -- no problems to note. I really don't have a great deal insight on LG phones so any feedback is appreciated.

HTC One. Touchwiz sucks. Samsung's plastic phones are crap build quality. LG is plastic phone too. The HTC One has great build quality and the Sense 5.5 is great.

Can you wait 2-3 more months for the S5? Might be worth the wait.

S4. I love it. I have known 3 people who have switched from an iphone to a galaxy and none of them regret it.

After entering plans/ phones/ etc. I suddenly got a 'web special' that put the S4 at $99 -- having an S2 I can take the SD card and put it in the S4 -- can't do that with the LG.

I know one person did that switch and regret it so much that he dropped the S4 intentionally.

G2. I have it. It's completely awesome. Best phone I've ever owned by far. Can't imagine owning a phone without the knock-on/off feature now. The only Android device I've never felt the need to install a custom launcher on. Once you get it setup and tweaked/customized, the stock UI is great.

Out of the 2 you listed g2. Basically every spec it beats the s4 with the biggest draws being battery processor and screen. S4 has removable battery and microsd but those advantages become less and less desirable for me as internal memory increases along with battery size.

The sony z1s should be considered. Similar to the g2 with processor battery but includes microsd and the water proof feature. You lose out on screen size and a slight drop in quality but you get a better camera.

S5 might be worth looking at but probably won't be out until may June. February is just an announcement I believe.

Moto X for 299 USD for an off contract phone. Offer expires tomorrow. I have an extra coupon code to get it at that price if anyone wants the code.

Build quality is a terrible argument only left up to the Apple fan boys. Nearly everyone puts cases on their phones now, so whether is plastic or metal, it matter little.

I will say that the charging ports suck.
