So, we've seen, out of the chances they've been given, Greg Smith and Terrence Jones play some quality minutes. Aaron Brooks is also serviceable. Every time I look at other teams' box score I see ~10 people getting minutes, even if they're only out there for less that 10 minutes.

Is there any reason some of these guys shouldn't get a few minutes off the bench, at the very least? We're just rolling out guys for 38+ minutes every night, and that's just an awful idea.

Also, apparently the twin towers lineup is good enough to start, but it's not good enough to play in the 4th, or either of the OT periods? If Asik only has 19 min, and other guys have 45-50 min tonight, then what's the point of even starting with that lineup?

There's still a lot of questions about the rotations and minutes distribution.

Again, i repeat. If you are going to start Beverley, the best choice at PF would be Motiejunas. If they are going to start Lin, the best choice at PF would be Jones.

Asik and one or two out of Jones, Moti and Greg is/are going to get traded.

Too many players that are decent or semi decent riding the pine.

Either way, I'd like to see either utilized.

The twin towers being "good enough to start," has nothing to do with it. Maybe they feel like Asik has been a bit touchy, and making him a bench player would rub him the wrong way.

I can't say for sure, but my guess would be giving starters as much court time as possible to start building chemistry between them. Also, testing multiple on-court combinations for the 8-9 players who are most valuable on paper takes precidence.

I'm just glad that Morey & the coaching staff are more patient than the fans looking to turn the entire team over bi-weekly. Not that this is anything new. In October last year "fire Morey" was the norm, and it was impossible to land significant players without tanking.

This is going to take MONTHS. For your own sake, calm yourselves. It's November.

Lineup at the end of the game:

    Beverley, Lin, Harden, TJones, Howard

3 Defensive guys (H,T,Bev) and Lin&Harden roam free on Offense

It was only the first 6 minutes of the game that the Rockets played TT. That blown lead in the fourth had nothing to do with TT. We have other issues.

The last two games we also blew fourth quarter leads...and guess what; no TT at those times either.

Jones is nice but he doesn't spread the floor. He can't hit jumpers of 3's. Basically with Jones you still have TT. Jones brings defense and rebounding and blocked shots. Guess what? He's baby Asik: what's the difference? Jones was in there today because no one else could guard Gay.

Jones is much more mobile and he has a jumper which isn't as bad as folks think it is.

It looked like McHale was going to rotate between Bev and Lin for Defense and Offense, respectively, but Parsons fouled out after only one switch, so it didn't matter.

Parsons has the longest leash of any non-star SF outside of maybe Deng. He's always out there, whether he's hot or cold.
