You really think his chances of winning a championship raise if he were to join the Lakers?... Really?
Carmelo Anthony not interested in winning a championship. Nah, he's just saying it to get reporters off his back.
He'd be a great second or third option on a contender. Being the man for the Knicks should make all Knicks fans dissapointed in their changes for winning a title.
He would be a decent scorer for us off the bench behind Lin, Harden, Howard, Parsons. He should take a pay cut if he knows what's good.
Five year deal - check Glamor city - check Green light to shoot - check Why on Earth would he walk away from that?
Because its the Lakers! Wouldn't you want to play with Kobe and eventually get the keys to the franchise?!
You think Kobe's drama would be over when he retires. I can already see the drama that would follow any star going to LA. "He's no Kobe". Like any scary movie, kill the monster and the spirit will still haunt you.
No on the Kobe part. Why would any star player want to play with a declining Kobe who still wants to dominate the ball? I don't think any star wants go to the Lakers until Kobe retires.
Melo Anthony and wife La La fought tooth and nail to get to New York. The Knicks are one of the league's eminent franchises. They're poorly run and barely cobbled together---Amare Stoudemire for that much money? really?!; Andrea Bargnani? really?!---but you don't see entrenched stars willing to leave the Knicks.
I'll say it again: Melo isn't leaving the Knicks but if he somehow did, it would only be to Miami to join LeBron.
Uh, if Melo's one of your main guys you won't win a ring...unless your other guys are dominant superstars like LBJ, Durant or Howard. Doesn't play D, monopolizes the ball, specializes in the worst worst in B-ball...the dude's the antitheses of winning basketball. For some guys though he's fun to watch, and honestly he has no reason to leave NYC. Lots of glamor,$$$, run of the franchise, and the NYC media has his back and overrates him because he's "their" star. Look what the NYC media did for Patrick Ewing's career, dude was like the Admiral without offensive game or a beggar man's Mutombo but NYC media somehow turned him into one of the best big men ever.
