    McCarney sounds like Kyle Lowry without any drive or heart, but a better 3 pt shot. Not good.

    If anything, McCamey sounds more promising, more Lin-like than Machado, 6'3" and 200lb, same size as Lin.

    I don't know anything about the two players that signed but I think it was long overdue to cut Fortson. He was a turnover waiting to happen as he seemed to play out of control during limited minutes. He didn't have an outside shot, either.

    McCamey has a nice mix of size, range and PG instincts. He's not athletic or much else though.

    DEMETRI MCCAMEY has the same Lin s agent.

    Didn´t understood this move...

    Maybe they are planning send somebody (besides Greg Smith) to Rio Grande Valley,

    but they have 3 PG already .

    School is back in session next week. Since so many deals were held up due to the Dwight trade saga, Im expecting training camp trade season to be quite active. I would expect a couple small deals from the Rockets upcoming here pretty soon.

    It mostly had to do with the contract status of Fortson. He was the last fully non-guaranteed contract left on the roster, and most likely the front office/coaches saw enough of him to realize he's not the answer.

    So this allowed them to use the training camp roster spot for a couple of players they could bring in with the assumption(from both parties) that they will most likely end up in the D-League with RGV.

    Also, it was a disservice to Fortson anyways because he needs this time to seek out other opportunities either with other teams that have more opportunity in training camp, or overseas.
