In addition to an entirely satisfying victory, did anyone else feel like yesterday was also a giant FU to the “yeah, but…” crowd?

Yeah, but…The Texans haven’t beaten anybody
Yeah, but… Gary Kubiak can’t win the big one
Yeah, but… Matt Schaub can’t win the big one
Yeah, but… Matt Schaub can’t “lead” the Texans
Yeah, but… Matt Schaub has a noodle arm/is a product of dump-offs/can’t throw deep
Yeah, but… The Texans need a # 2 WR/sign (insert washed-up street free agent here)!!
Yeah, but… Kareem Jackson is a liability

Any others? Do the “yeah, but”s have a rebuttal? No team is perfect - but can we maybe put away the nitpicks and enjoy this for a while?

Aside from the BS P.I. called against him, Kareem had a hell of a game yesterday. Brice McCain however couldn't cover your nuts if he was unde.....oh, you already went over that.

Is that getting much run? I thought that was an absolutely terrible call.

kareem is definitely better than last season (and hopefully still progressing). even the best corners still get beat from time to time (happened to jjo a couple times yesterday), so the fact that i only recall kareem giving up yards on a couple of plays is very impressive.

I would post a queen solomon article but that would only give him hits.

let me try....hmmmm...the male model would have thrown for 7 tds and 1,000 yards!

ehhh what did we really win? we beat a 1-2 team!

We should have aired it out more!

speaking of jjo and him getting beat, how good is the jjo signing looking compared to the iggles signing nnamdi, at the time nnamdi was condered not only better but possibly the best corner in the biz, now I see him getting abused almost every game.

Even if is one of the most overpaid players in the league, we should thank our lucky stars for jjo.

The only real concern I have to this point in the season is that our OLBs don't seem to be doing much so far. Which may be a blessing in disguise because if Connor Barwin has a 6-7 sack season but we are still a dominant defense then maybe it is even easier to get him signed to an extension in the offseason.

Not much talk on any of the shows I watched (not surprising considering it's the Texans). The highlight I saw of it only said that the call was made.

I was a horrid call. KJ had position and didn't impede the WR at all. If it was anything, it was great coverage.

I'm having way too much fun this year to care about the "haters" either way.

For sure. The thread intent is alright, but I'm too in the moment now to even give much a sh** about "da hataz". Its just about who's next in line next week to receive their ass whooping

    Yeah but...
they got a safety because Kubiak scripted a long developing play action as his opening play from the 6 yard line?

Not a hater but that bugged me.

Do we really know that it was long developing or is it just the initial quick options were covered and Schaub held on to it too long?

Yeah could have been that. Kubiak has shown a penchant since Foster's appeared to pass, and pass deep, on his first play of the game. It was randomly pointed out in one of the offseason threads before.

Left out that Derek as soft as a Fig Newton couldn't block DaDakota.
