They may be selling retro blue jerseys (Olajuwon, Barkley, etc.).... they're not wearing them as throwbacks this year.

    I actually love these jerseys.

Lots of good memories and they are very unique.

I probably wouldnt want them to ever be our full time jerseys again, but every once and a while is cool.

Plus, our jerseys now are TERRIBLE IMO

The flying dildo PJs were the start of the downward trend after the back to back titles, Les decided to put his own mark on the franchise and separate it from the 80's Rockets. The flying dildo PJs, the Pippen fiasco that lasted only a year, then the Steve Francis ISO dumb bball took over that clouded us until we got Yao and ditched Steve for Tmac. Tmac was a lot of unfulfilled promise but at least we didn't hold on to Steve "I built the TC", just like we didn't hold on to the immature butt ugly PJs. Les has shown he has been able to correct his mistakes, but the corrections are not always that great either.

Steve Francis was a legend. He alone kept the Rockets relevant.

I mean if we are going into a rebuild, might as well do so in style while paying homage to our historical decline period as well.

I agree somewhat to this. I don't love them, but my earliest memories of basketball were with these Jerseys and I had like 2 when I was about 6... So I wouldn't mind seeing them for one or two games. And I hate our jerseys now.

Yeah, got traded for Rodrick Rhodes...I remember being at the first game where Sam Mack returned and wondering to myself (before the game began) why in the hell Rhodes was sitting on the Grizzlies' bench in street clothes.

This was of course back before anyone had fast internet, let alone access to the mobile internet (and thus Clutchcity).

Then some time later they announced the return of Mack to the crowd and he received a nice ovation (I don't recall either playing since I don't think there was enough time to conduct the physicals I guess).

I just recall it being one of those unique circumstances where the team you're being traded to is in town for a game that night.

Yeah, and if they are, I have no problem with something like this... or just without those stupid stripes.
