Probably a bit too honest for their liking.

Agreed he would be fantastic, he has such a wealth of experience and insight and he's very articulate.

Just Dream. No one calls him Mr. Olajuwon.
Or you can call him The Dream, His Dreamness or El Dreamerino if you are not into the whole brevity thing.

Great interview (a nice slate of interviews overall by Simmons over the last few days).

I wonder why he hasn't even received an interview for an assistant coaching position. Tangent: I know in the NFL owners/GMs will bring in coaches for interviews as a way to find out about their own organization from the outside. Or at the very least what other people believe to be the way to improve their team. I wonder if NBA teams do that (I've never heard it referenced, but you would at least think Horry would get an interview for that purpose, since he did have a rather long tenure as 'glue guy' on quite a few championship teams. #rings)

If IIRC that's what his ex-teammates call him. Kenny, sam, drexler, etc....they all use "dream" instead of "the dream".

Great interview. I wish Dream's comments would have been caught on tape.

Just listened to the interview with Bill Simmons! Ahhh... the good ole days. Nice to hear from him, and it was great how Horry was able to reminisce about his Rockets days. Fantastic insight.

Oh, and someone get this dude a job on TV/radio. He LIVES in Houston and would be a MASSIVE upgrade over Clyde Drexler.

Love what he says about Hakeem being underrated. Hard to believe a guy universally considered to be one of the greatest centers of all time is actually underrated, but it's true.

I think he's the best center to ever play the game. Period. No hyperbole.

EDIT: My post is #34. Sweet.

Ya'll want to give everybody a job on tv. I'm thinking some of these guys that have millions in the bank would rather do what they do. I'd doubt if he really needs a job. But yeah, he would be good at it.

The post I made was based on the podcast (which I guess you didn't listen to). He said he's been looking around but couldn't even get an interview. He's clearly interested in getting into broadcasting.

My bad...I know he's very eloquent but I havent had time to listen to the podcast yet. Seems weird that he's not already on. Seems like ABC and ESPN definitely believe in having a lot of analysts...

The glory years of being a Rockets fan....92-93 through 96-97.

If you weren't there you just can't imagine how sweet it was. The Rockets OWNED Houston during those days.
