Anyone else notice Patterson had a (+/-) of +29 in only 19 minutes of playing time tonight?

Im not saying he should start but I think he deserves more minutes...Scolas defense is well below average and he doesn't hustle as much anymore.

We need to trade Scola while is value is still relatively high.

No one wants aging Scola. His trade value = not that high

Scola managed to score 19 points and get 8 rebounds without hustling and is credited by coach McHale for getting the Rockets going in the 3rd quarter. Lets dump his ass.

I remember everyone on this board (including myself) was pretty much begging for McHale to take him out in the 4th quarter against the Spurs. McHale left him in there, though, and he went on a spree and helped carry the team to victory.

He's been playing pretty damn well since then.

Scola is declining fast, we should trade him to a contender that is missing their last piece, im thinking maybe OKC, or any team that needs Scola's play style NOW. he is definitely not the future, and considering we are rebuilding, we SHOULD have players for the future.

Patterson's offensive game isn't good. He has a great spot up shot, but that's about it. His defense is clearly better than Scola's, but it's not like Patterson is going to win any significant defensive recognition. He plays solid, but he looks pretty limited out there.

It's a meaningless stat. This wasn't a game where he had much of an impact.

Scola isn't declining fast, it's just to many games in our schedule this year.

Interesting, I wonder if Morey has ever considered this?

Well, he already knew this before the season started, that's why he wanted to trade him.

Check out the prior few games, PPat's minutes have been going up up and away.

Scola hustles more than anyone on the team but the guy has his limitations and the schedule is killing his legs right now. I have noticed better rebounding as of late which is key for a guy who provides VERY little, if any, defense.

That's the key point right there... The schedule is killing all the older veterans legs right now. On the last short season it took 3 years off the veterans, a lot of them were never the same after that season.

Scola is not hustling as much this year as in years past. He takes a lot of plays off-especially on defense. He lets guys go around him, doesn't box out. Also, lost his confidence in his shot for several games. That being said, I think he can take his game to another level in the playoffs. Still valuable to a playoff team or a team in need of a post scorer.

He was a beast last season.

He isn't assertive enough, hopefully it's attributed to his injury.

However, his offensive game is very solid and consistent. He was missing all of them early on in the season but now he's back to making the majority of them when he's open.

No he wasn't. 8.3 board per 36 min is not good for a PF.
